| recent elections in jammu and kashmir although conducted in a free,fair,& impartial manner and the total voter turn out goes upto 50% (approx), but the main problem is the resulution of the core issue of J&K under the UNO. the india never accepted the main problem and by one way or other want to divert attention of international cummunity. so far the people of kashmir are concerned i have observed that we are the only people with no agenda, to my utter surprise some two months ago almost 1 million people gathered at Idd gah srinager for AZADI and the same people voted for govt with out even saying a single word for AZADI during the electoral process. our leaders like Geelani, Umer & others have also no concrete idealogy as how to guide the people to achieve the desired goal with minimum loss of life, property & Asmat of our daughters. they all used to live in srinager instead of there respective localities . |

Old Homes in Kashmir

| All of you out there, please give a thought to the risisng number of not-cared- for elderly people in Kashmir. Mnay of them have been relegated to this status despite having succesful children all over the world. We have huge houses and one or two oldies accompanied by a servant or two in many posh colonies of the valley and the number of such ghost houses is ever on the increase. So we need to do something for this community whcih we shall be joining soon. Hospice care type facilities and old homes would be an ideal way to address the issue and a lot of thinking has to go into the development of such facilites. Once conceptualized the idea could take form. The earlier the better. All my fellow brethren, do think, analyze and try to act. |
