All of you out there, please give a thought to the risisng number of not-cared- for elderly people in Kashmir. Mnay of them have been relegated to this status despite having succesful children all over the world. We have huge houses and one or two oldies accompanied by a servant or two in many posh colonies of the valley and the number of such ghost houses is ever on the increase. So we need to do something for this community whcih we shall be joining soon. Hospice care type facilities and old homes would be an ideal way to address the issue and a lot of thinking has to go into the development of such facilites. Once conceptualized the idea could take form. The earlier the better.
